Cheryl Hatcher, Life Coach
Is it just me, or do we spend entirely too much time comparing ourselves to
others? Our life may not seem as exciting and we may not feel as talented,
smart, attractive, thin, or accomplished as the person next to us, so we must
be lesser than. That is a LIE! You are God’s workmanship and He has a
wonderful plan for your life!
In my early years, I lacked the guidance,
direction, and confidence to know how to understand who God had made me to be
and what my purpose was. What was His wonderful plan for my life? Similarly,
my husband spent 20 years in a career in which he was not fully utilizing his
gifts and passion. Even though we may not have been fully living the Abundant
Life that God had for us, God certainly used that time to mold us and prepare
us for the passion that He placed in each of us. Claiming the Abundant Life
that Jesus offers us is the best place that we could possibly be. Too often we
work backwards. We decide what we want to do and then we ask God to bless it.
It is then that we often find ourselves on a path that is incompatible with
our God-given gifts and talents. Seeking His direction first can reap huge
dividends!
I am happily married to my husband Jeff and have two grown
daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandsons, and a spoiled dog. I live in
Abilene, Texas and dream of an occasional trip to the mountains.
I
returned to college as a non-traditional student, so I know what it is like to
make changes in mid-life and strive for a goal. I graduated from McMurry
University, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Psychology and have received my
Life Coach training from the Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT) – a
member of the International Coach Federation, the gold standard for Life Coach
training. I have been a pastor’s wife for 15 years and God has allowed me many
opportunities to coach, counsel, guide, and listen to people covering a wide
range of issues. I have the privilege of teaching a Sunday School class of
fascinating young(ish) adults and co-lead a community group as well as
marriage enrichment classes and retreats with my husband. In my free time I
enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening, being in nature,
exercising, reading, playing fetch with my dog, cooking, and baking (I
know…the exercising and baking are cancelling each other out).
It would
be my honor to use my life experience, training, and passion to help you move
forward...to find joy and step into a more fulfilling life!
